Description

Carl Bock was a Norweigan natural scientist whose journeys to northern Thailand and Laos had the support of HM King Chulalongkorn. His book gives an interesting account, not only of the people among whom he travelled, but also of the personality and manners of a fairly typical 19th century explorer.
